About Us
The Milton Estate Residents Association (MERA) is a registered corporate entity, officially recognized by the Corporate Affairs Commission. It serves as the umbrella organization representing all property owners within Milton Estate, located in Awoyaya, Lagos State, Nigeria. With a membership goal of 180, the Board of Directors and current members are actively collaborating to reach this target.
MERA was established in response to the urgent need for a unified platform to address collective concerns, particularly in dealings with Landwey, ensuring accountability and the delivery of a functional, livable estate.
Objectives
To Provide a Unified Voice for Residents: Represent the collective interests of all property owners, advocating for accountability from Landwey to ensure the delivery of a fully functional and livable estate.
To Ensure and Promote the General Well-being and Security of the Estate: Foster a safe, secure, and healthy environment within the estate, prioritizing the welfare and comfort of all residents.
To Grow Our Membership Base: Engage in campaigns that will increase the membership base.
To Facilitate Community Development and Engagement: Encourage a sense of community among residents by organizing events, promoting interaction, and fostering a strong communal bond within the estate.
To Oversee and Maintain Infrastructure and Amenities: Monitor and collaborate with relevant stakeholders to maintain and improve the estate’s infrastructure, utilities, and common facilities, ensuring they meet the highest standards.
To Ensure Transparent Communication and Governance: Establish clear communication channels between residents, the Board of Directors, and service providers, ensuring transparency in decision-making and the association’s governance.
To Promote Sustainable Practices within the Estate: Advocate for environmentally friendly and sustainable practices, encouraging initiatives that contribute to the long-term ecological health of the estate.
